Make-A-Wish surprises Kissimmee boy with toys and games delivered parade style
Adrian's usual schedule consists of being in and out of the hospital and dealing with chemo treatments. "A wish come true helps a child during the time where they need it the most. We provide experiences that transform their lives and hopefully build that anticipation and give them that hope to keep pushing forward and keep continuing in their treatments," Anne Cuba with Make-A-Wish Central and Northern Florida said. Special guests including firefighters even joined in.First gifts and guests, then the grand finale. Adrian's dream of driving a race car became reality. He hopped in his new car and joined the parade himself."Just waking up is a goal, just having him out of bed and be happy is a goal. To me, that's the most important part about this, making him smile, making him happy," Adrian's mom said.Make-A-Wish of Central and Northern Florida grants wishes like these for hundreds of kids a year. However, due to COVID-19, many wishes have been postponed and others have been altered to be granted safely.
