Girls pick up McDonald's drive-thru order in 'Little Tikes' plastic cars

Mother is left stunned after daughters pick up McDonald's drive-thru order in 'Little Tikes' plastic cars - after agreeing they could have the treat if they collected it in their own vehicles
  • Taz Martin, 42, from Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, picked up the plastic toy cars
  • Daughters Dannielle, 13, and Teigan, nine, pedalled their way through drive-thru
  • Mother revealed how she was surprised they went through with the creative idea
  • A mother was left stunned after her two daughters used 'Little Tikes' toy cars to pick up their first McDonald's in months as drive-thru staff applauded their creative efforts.

Taz Martin, 42, from Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, revealed how her eldest daughter, 13-year-old Dannielle, had begged her for a McDonald's - but she had refused due to the 'ridiculous' queues.

And in a bid to get her hands on a Big Mac meal, after going without during lockdown, Danielle sent her mother a picture of a 'Little Tikes' toy car stating 'this is what I need'.

Taz decided to humour her daughter and picked up two of the plastic cars for Danielle and nine-year-old Teigan.

She told the girls they could go and pick up the fast-food from the Wisbech McDonald's in their own cars - and to her surprise they did.

Taz Martin, 42, from Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, revealed her shock after her two daughters used 'Little Tikes' toy cars to pick up their first McDonald's in months. Pictured, Dannielle, 13, and her sister Teigan, nine, in the 'Little Tikes' cars

Taz Martin, pictured with her daughters Teigan and Danielle Martin, told how she borrowed the cars from her childminder

In the hilarious footage, Dannielle and Teigan are seen awkwardly navigating their way through the drive-thru in the little plastic cars, which are far too small for them, and pushing the order call button.

The video shows the girls guiding the plastic cars around the corners of the drive-thru using their hands for momentum.

At one point Taz asks: 'Who's got the money?' To which both girls reply, 'not me', as their mother reveals she has the card.

Teigan then replies 'give me the card,' before squeezing out of the little car to collect it from her mother.

During the clip, Teigan nearly flips the car over, much to the amusement of Taz, who is overheard laughing at the girl's efforts while carefully following behind in her car.

And the sisters seemed undeterred by the rain as they finally picked up their tasty dinner treats on June 3 - a Big Mac meal for Dannielle and a Happy Meal for Teigan.

Taz, who was driving slowly behind them in her car, said: 'It was so funny - all the staff came to the window and were laughing.

'In the video you can see Teigan kind of flip her car over on its side.'

The two girls (pictured) were videoed as they hurried along in the plastic cars at the McDonald's drive-thru in Wisbech

Taz said Teigan, nine, can be seen nearly flipping the plastic toy cars over as they waited patiently in the rain

The sisters (pictured left) visited the fast-food chain in the plastic cars to the surprise of their mother (left). Teigan can be seen falling out of the car while her sister hurries on ahead (right)

She continued: 'I didn't think they were actually going to go through with it but they've been trying for ages to find a McDonald's near us that is open.

'We went at about 9.30 in the evening so it wasn't so busy. They were ever so happy when they finally got their meals. They're asking me already if they can go back.'

And she revealed how they got the meals for free because the staff made a mistake - meaning Taz had to collect the correct orders in her car after all.

Taz added: 'We got their meals for free in the end because the staff botched their orders. So I had to go back around again in my car to pick up the right order.'

She said she borrowed the cars from her childminder and has now returned them to her.

But she joked: 'We'll have to think of something different for when I take them to KFC!'
